Current Work
My current textile work this year has based on natural and organic forms using a selection of textile techniques including 3D work, silk paper, eco printing, hand and machine embroidery. I have also considered my feelings and emotions whilst creating a piece of work, trying to capture a moment that evokes a certain expression or mood.
These are some of the ways I have been inspired this year
- Look at other artists work
- Try out different mediums and techniques
- Use a sketch book to record different ideas
- Go for a walks locally and on holiday
- Take lots of photographs
- Look at different cultures associated with aspects of my work
